Deputy Minister shares good practices with UL management Ipeleng Bogopane-Zulu, Deputy Minister for Department of Women,
Children and People with Disabilities, recently visited the University
of Limpopo (UL) to discuss challenges affecting students living with
disability in the institutions of higher learning. The visit, aimed at
sharing good practices and developing minimum norms and standards as
well uniform guidelines to support disabled student in tertiary
institutions, is part of the Department’s drive to ensure universal
access in education. During a round-table discussion with UL
management at the Turfloop Campus, Bogopane-Zulu said that education
and facilities in tertiary institutions should be inclusive in order
to empower people with disabilities. She added the Department is
undertaking a process of consolidating various activities in an effort
