 29th International Aids Candlelight Memorial
The 29th International AIDS Candlelight
Memorial–which isone of the world’s oldest and
largest grassroots mobilization campaigns for HIV
awareness; will take place on 17 May 2012 at
the Turfloop Campus. This year’s theme is
based on ‘Promoting Health and Dignity
Together’that serves as an important intervention for
global solidarity, breaking down barriers of stigma and
discrimination, and giving hope to new generations.
On this day, Student Health Centre will light a candle in memory
ofthe late Dios Moagi, former Health Promoter for HIV/AIDS
awareness.
A march led by the Peer Educators drums majorettes and Pre-School
children from the Early Learning Centre (ELC) willmark the start of
the day’s journey toAnglo Platinum Multipurpose
Centerfrom Student Health and Wellness Center at 08h30.
