Introduction
The National School of Public Health at MEDUNSA enrolled its first students in June 1998. In 2001, the Department of Public Health at the then University of the North enrolled its first MPH students. The merger between the Medical University of Southern Africa (MEDUNSA) and the University of the North resulted in the School of Public Health at the University of Limpopo . The public health programmes exists in both campuses. The School continues to grow from strength to strength and presently offers a wide range of Public Health programs. Our academic programmes range from Post-Graduate Diploma to a Doctorate in Public Health. The majority of our students are in the MPH program. Since 2008, we also run a certificate course in AIDS, Society and Development. The uniqueness of the program offerings is that we run programs using computer-based distance education, which enables us to reach many students outside the borders of our country.
