Professor Supa Pengpid (M.Sc., Dr.PH, MBA) is a Head of The Department of Health System Management and Policy at School of Public Health, University of Limpopo, South Africa. She was previously working as Professor in Department of Social and Behavioural Health Sciences at the same university and as Health Education Specialist at the Ministry of Public Health, Thailand for 15 years. Her education is Doctor of Public Health (Dr.PH) and Master of Sciences (M.Sc.), in the area of Health Education and Behavioural Sciences, both from Mahidol University and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Regenesys Business School. She is a health behavioural researcher and public health educator over 10 years of experiences in various health risk behaviours, health promotion and prevention, health systems research and evaluation internationally. She is a Project Leader: of Public Health Intervention Research Projects, under Flemish Interuniversity Council - Institutional University Cooperation programme (VLIR-IUC), Belgium. She has published about 50 articles, 5 books and book chapters. She is a Health do The Department of health System management and Policy. Prof. Pengpid’s main research interests are health behaviour interventions in areas of obesity management (diet and physical activities), child health and nutrition, alcohol intervention, HIV and sexuality education and intervention, including testing and comparing theory-based interventions. Her recent book title “Health Behaviour Interventions in Developing Countries” is now on promotion at Nova Sciences Publisher (2011).
