National Senior Certificate

Applicants with NSC should comply with the following minimum requirements:

• Life Orientation with an achievement level of at least three(3) is compulsory
• A minimum level of achievement in the following subjects

The applicants should obtain a minimum Admission Point Score (APS) of 25, obtained by the addition of the achievement levels in the above-mentioned subjects.

2. Senior Certificate

Applicants who have successfully completed Grade 12 Senior Certificate with full university exemption prior to 2008, minimum admission requirements are as follows:

The applicants should obtain a minimum Admission Point Score (APS) of 22, obtained by the addition of the achievement levels in the above-mentioned subjects.

Other qualification, including matriculation results outside South Africa

Applicants with other types of qualifications and those achieved outside South Africa , should submit their qualification to the Higher Education South Africa (HESA) for verification, before processing for admission.

For practical reasons only a limited number of applicants can be admitted to the degree programme, therefore meeting the minimum APS does not guarantee admission.
