Message from the Director: Prof Sipho Mokoena

The Turfloop Graduate School of Leadership (TGSL) provides dynamic management and development education, which is founded on a vision of being a leading provider of postgraduate qualifications in business management, development planning, and public management by offering quality programmes, research, and community engagement in Africa. This vision is inclined on a core mission of building capacity to empower societies, the government and business sectors through business education, development, and public administration skills.

Since the founding of TGSL in 1996, it has been innovative in providing executive education that matches the needs of the 21st century corporate and public sector administration and management needs. The school’s graduates have continuously excelled in filling the capacity needs of these diverse sectors. This is achieved through the offering of three distinct management and administration programmes:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Master of Development in Planning and Management (MDEV)
• Master of Public Administration and Management (MPAM)

The above three masters’ degree programmes offered at the TGSL are fully accredited by the Council of Higher Education. The TGSL is a member of the South African Business Schools Association (SABSA) and the African Association of Business Schools (AABS). The TGSL is also a member of the International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies (CEEMAN) with headquarters in Slovenia. The TGSL has qualified academics with expertise in these areas of degree offerings.

In addition to the three formal masters’ degrees, the TGSL also offers eight (8) accredited short learning management programmes for medium, senior and executive managers in public and corporate sectors.

The TGSL invites managers, aspiring managers and entrepreneurs to register for its diverse management and administration degree offerings to boost their managerial and entrepreneurial capacity. Such managers will be equipped with an immersion skill to succeed and stand out in a world of opportunities.
