Masters of Public Administration and Management (MPAM)

Leadership can solve most of Africa’s challenges – TGSL offers the optimum mix of relevant qualifications

The MPAM programme offers students a wealth of relevant knowledge and skills required for the developmental state in the African Continent.

MPAM is one of the three academic programmes for the Turfloop Graduate School of Leadership. It consists of nine modules making 100 credits and a mini-dissertation with 100 credits to make up 200 credits for the entire course. Candidates are encouraged to complete their qualification at the minimum period allowed of two years.

Our primary client focus is national, provincial and local government officials within South Africa and elsewhere on the continent.

Candidates who are employed by international organisations such as African Union and United Nations bodies are also welcome. Classes are offered on a block release of one week a month to accommodate their work commitments.

This is a high impact postgraduate degree which is intended to ensure that candidates develop in their academic and professional environments. Their contribution and increasing capacity in their workplace should be noticeable upon completion of this qualification.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In addition to the University General Admission Requirements that guides admission for study at the University for the first time entering students.

The following applies for entry into this programme:

  • Honours degree or equivalent qualification in Public Administration or related field at NQF level 8.
  • An average of 60% pass in previous degree.
  • Candidates are also required to submit a letter from their employer confirming that they will be allowed to attend classes.
  • Candidates are required to submit a detailed CV.

The programme is offered on the TURFLOOP CAMPUS as Full Time Contact. It has a one year curriculum and is pitched at the NQF exit level 9
