Theme: Repositioning the Institutional Forum as a Catalyst for Transformation in the Higher Education Sector
The University of Limpopo is set to play host to a groundbreaking event—the inaugural Institutional Forum Summit. This high-level national gathering aims to illuminate and enhance the pivotal role that Institutional Forums play in driving transformation, promoting inclusive governance, and facilitating institutional renewal within South Africa’s higher education landscape.
This Summit will serve as a crucial platform where members of Institutional Forums, esteemed leaders from higher education, policymakers, governance experts, and stakeholders dedicated to transformation will converge. Participants will engage in robust discussions centered around the significance and effectiveness of Institutional Forums within the complex framework of South Africa’s higher education system.
Institutional Forums possess a distinctive and influential presence in university governance. Their diverse and inclusive makeup allows for a rich tapestry of voices to be woven into the dialogue surrounding key issues such as transformation, institutional culture, equitable representation concerning language, race, and gender, as well as the ongoing development of impactful policies that govern universities.
