Housed in the Faculty of Science and Agriculture, the school offers under- and post-graduate mathematical sciences and computer science programmes and course sites.

The school has the following main programmes: Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, and Statistics.
The School is devoted to attaining the highest possible standards of excellence in teaching and learning activities, research for the production of knowledge, and outreach programmes that render the mathematical sciences a vital component of the African renaissance and consequently engender life-long learning.
The School is also committed to excellence in research, providing knowledge/expertise for regional development. It is dedicated to producing highly qualified, adaptable, self-directed, resourceful and multi-skilled graduates and other trainees.

Computer Science
School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences in the Faculty of Science and Agriculture. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Computer Science.
Mathematics and Applied Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics is one of the three departments in the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences in the Faculty of Science and Agriculture.
Statistics and Operations Research
The Department of Statistics and Operations Research is one of the three sisterly departments in the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences in the Faculty of Science and Agriculture.
The school has the following main programmes: Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, and Statistics.

Every student shall register and follow an approved curriculum for the duration prescribed for the degree.
Ø In addition to the general Faculty admission requirements
§ a student who passed Grade 12 in or before 2007 shall be admitted to a degree programme in the School only if s/he has a rating of 30 or more on the Selection Scale which is based on the results of the Matriculation* (Grade 12) examination based on the best six subjects and if, in addition, s/he obtained at least a D (E) symbol* in the Standard (Higher) Grade* in Matriculation (Grade 12) Mathematics calculated as follows:
