
The Department of Psychology, under the School of Social Sciences, invites applications for the Master of Clinical Psychology programme for the upcoming 2026 academic year. This comprehensive programme is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of psychological theory, coupled with advanced clinical skills and hands-on training. To initiate your application, please adhere to the following two-step process:
Step 1: Begin by completing the general online application provided by the University, which is managed by the Enrolment Management Department. During this process, you must upload all required supporting documentation, and pay the application handling fee. Once you successfully submit your application, you will receive a reference or student number, which will be important for tracking your application status.
Step 2: Following the completion of Step 1, you will need to fill out the Candidate Screening Form. After completing this form, send it, along with the necessary supporting documents, directly to the Department of Psychology via the designated email address: psych.clintraining@ul.ac.za. Please remember that all application materials must be submitted no later than 30 June 2025 to be considered for admission to this prestigious programme.
Supporting Documents:
Provide the reference number you received from the Enrolment Management Department (from Step 1) on the Candidate Screening Form.
Proof of payment for the application handling fee (Step 1).
An original or certified copy of your academic record.
Certified copies of all your degree certificates and identity document.
For current Honours students, a report stating your academic progress, along with your progress reports, should be included in your application.
Referee reports: These must be sent separately by your referees directly to the MA Clinical Psychology Selection Committee by 30 June 2025 via email at psych.clintraining@ul.ac.za.
