The University of Limpopo proudly invites students, staff, alumni, members of the public and all stakeholders to attend the 5th Josephine Moshobane Memorial Lecture, a flagship annual event that honours the life, courage and enduring legacy of Josephine Moshobane, whose contributions continue to inspire the pursuit of social justice, gender equality and women’s empowerment.
This year’s lecture will be held under the theme, “Unfinished Business: The Struggles That Remain 40 Years On,” as part of the University’s “Doek Day” commemoration. The event will provide a platform for meaningful reflection on the progress made since the historic women’s struggles, while examining the challenges that continue to affect women and communities today. Through thought-provoking discussions, the memorial lecture aims to inspire collective action towards a more equitable and inclusive society.
The keynote address will be delivered by renowned Metro FM Talk Host, Ms Faith Mangope, whose insights promise to enrich this important national conversation.
The memorial lecture will take place on Friday, 07 August 2026, at the Onkgopotse Tiro Hall, University of Limpopo, commencing at 09:00.
