University of Limpopo SRC Elections 2026/27

The upcoming elections are set to take place on 07 September 2026 and will be conducted through an electronic voting system. In preparation for this important event, the organisation known as Kwano’s Services and Developments, led by the Chief Electoral Officer, has been designated as the External Electoral Scrutineers. Their role will be crucial in ensuring the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.

Students are strongly encouraged to visit the University’s official website for the latest announcements and to stay informed. Additionally, updates will be available through email at allstudents@myturf.ul.ac.za and can also be accessed conveniently on mobile devices.

As we approach this election period, it is important to recognise that this time often inspires a strong desire among many to take on leadership roles, fueled by the ambition to serve their fellow students and contribute positively to our community. However, it is equally vital to acknowledge that some passionate members of the student body may experience significant pressure, which can lead to uncharacteristic behaviors or actions. Such actions may inadvertently violate the Student Code of Conduct and the established institutional regulations.

Therefore, all students and recognised student organisations are encouraged to demonstrate political maturity, exercise responsible behavior, and practice electoral tolerance during this critical period. It is essential that we maintain a respectful and supportive environment throughout the electoral process.

Any actions or behaviors that disrupt the voting process or breach university policies, whether from individual students, recognised organisations, or any member of the University community will not be tolerated.. Let’s work together to ensure a fair and respectful electoral experience for everyone involved.
