Who We Are: The Gender Desk

The Gender Desk is here to prevent and respond to Gender-Based Violence (GBV), harassment, and discrimination of students, staff and community at large. We offer confidential support, guidance, and care—from the moment you report.

How We Support You
  • Safe, confidential reporting of GBV, harassment, or discrimination
  • Counselling and emotional support for survivors
  • Guidance through case procedures and referrals
  • Emergency medical support (PEP, STI treatment, emergency contraception)
  • Campus-wide awareness and prevention programmes
If You Experience or Witness GBV
  • Report immediately to the Gender Desk
  • Seek help within 72 hours for urgent medical care (PEP, STI treatment)
  • You can report anytime for support and case management
  • Break the silence—talk to trained staff, GBV Ambassadors, or Champions
